Free Cutting Muntz Metal Alloy C37000 is excellent for hot working between the temperatures 1200°F to 1300°F. The alloy holds poor capacity of working under cold conditions. If the alloy has to be used under cold working conditions, it is recommended that this be followed by stress relieving at 550°F for 1 hour to reduce the possibility of stress corrosion cracking.
